Making A Purchase When confirmation of an order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. If we are no longer able to supply a particular product, or a product is priced incorrectly for online trading, you will be informed. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you before processing your order, to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Pricing Policy All prices quoted are ex-VAT, and do not include delivery charges. This will be calculated and shown during the process of completing an online transaction. All orders are subject to 20% VAT if placed from within the UK or any other EU country. If you are a EU company we will not charge VAT if you provide us with a valid EU tax number.

Payment Goods can paid for by credit or debit cards, bank transfer, cleared cheque or cash. Goods can only be despatched upon receipt of cleared funds. All products i.e. stock items, non-stock regular items and special order items, must be paid for at the time of ordering.
Damaged Goods If goods are damaged in transit, this must be recorded in writing by the recipient. We must be notified within 24 hours of receipt of goods, however, we cannot accept resbonsibility for damage if the goods have been signed for as being "in good condition". If goods are found to be faulty, incorrect or incomplete, we must be notified by phone or e-mail within 48 hours of receipt and in writing within 7 days of receipt.
Availability Whilst every effort is made to keep stock of popular items, we do not stock every item in our standard product range. We may, therefore, occasionally have insufficient stock to complete your order. If this is the case, we will advise you of a projected despatch date of any out-of-stock item. Out-of-stock items from our standard product range are generally delivered within 14 days from receipt of order, however, customers should allow up to 28 days for delivery.


Delivery Policy Stock orders placed online are generally despatched within 24 hours of the order being placed. Deliveries of stock items to UK mainland addresses are sent by carrier to arrive within 3 days of the order being placed. An estimated delivery period will be given at the time of ordering on special order or out-of-stock items. We accept no responsibility for delays outside our control.
Confidentiality and Credit Card Security Credit card details are not held by us, except with the customers' express permission. If orders are placed online, credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. Cookies are used on the shopping site, but only to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket once you have selected an item. They are not held on any website in clear text, or stored in any way.
Warranty Conditions All products supplied by us come with a manufacturers' limited warranty, details of which are available at the point of sale. Warranty conditions do vary. Certain product warranties are not applicable outside the U.S.A. Please consult our sales office on +44 01376 552 552 for details of individual suppliers' product warranties.

Warranty claims cannot be accepted if the express conditions of operation and use are not adhered to.

Product Liability We cannot accept any responsibility for damage caused to the product, or for damage or injury caused to a third party by the product, if the manufacturer's conditions of operation and use are not fully complied with. Any product liability rests solely with the manufacturer of the product.

Privacy Policy We do not disclose your details to third parties. Your contact details are used to get in touch with you when necessary, or to inform you of new products that may be of interest to you. Your IP address may be used to gather broad demographic information. Where this this site contains links to other sites we are are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such web sites. Contact information from the order form is used to send orders to our customers. Financial information that is collected is used to bill the customer for products. We will not send untargeted mass-marketing emails to people we have never had any contact with before.

American Vehicle Parts will not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. They are also used after you have logged on as part of that process. You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to 'Tools | Internet Options | Privacy' and selecting to block cookies. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use cookies.

>!!If the order is placed online, the customer takes responsibility for ordering the correct item, i.e. part number, type, colour, etc. for their vehicle. Every effort must be made by the customer to ascertain that they are ordering the correct product for their vehicle. If the customer has any doubt, they should contact our sales office by phone on 01376 552 552 between 09.00 and 17.00 hrs to clarify product compatibility for their vehicle.

If an item is supplied incorrectly, or not 'as specified' in the order invoice/acknowledgement, we will refund the cost of the product including carriage. A refund can only be made by the same method as payment, i.e credit card, cheque. We must be notified in writing within 48 hours of receipt of goods.

We reserve the right not to accept returns for correctly supplied products (i.e. as ordered by the customer). Refunds for correctly supplied goods are at our discretion and we reserve the right to apply a 20% handling and re-stocking fee. The customer is responsible for any return carriage and insurance costs. Refunds will not apply if products are not returned in original packaging, if used or damaged in any way. Refunds cannot be given for 'special order items', e.g. special paint finish, custom-build tonneau covers, orders from U.S.A., or non-regular stock items.
