Terms and Conditions of Sale - General
For orders placed by phone or mail order or online, all prices quoted are excluding VAT, and do not include delivery charges. All orders are subject
to VAT at the prevailing rate (currently 20%) if placed from within the UK or any other EU country. Products
can be supplied directly to the EU without charging UK VAT if we are
provided with a valid EU VAT number.
ALL PRICES INCLUDE ALL APPLICABLE EUROPEAN IMPORT DUTIES
We require full payment before despatch. For special order items we
require a 50% deposit (which is non-refundable in the event of your
cancellation as we will be importing the products from the USA)
Payment can be made by credit / debit cards, cheque, postal order
or bank transfer. Products can only be despatched upon receipt of cleared funds.
Stock items are generally despatched the same day as ordering, providing the order has been received and processed by 15.00 hrs that day, if placed by phone. Deliveries to UK mainland addresses are sent on an overnight carrier to arrive during business hours the following working day. Please contact our office for details of freight costs and alternative freight services to UK destinations and other EU countries. An estimated delivery period will be given at the time of ordering on special order items.
All non-stock regular items (i.e. products listed in our standard product line) are generally delivered within 10 days from receipt of order, however, customers should allow up to 28 days for delivery. We accept no responsibility for delays outside our control.
If goods are damaged in transit, this must be recorded in writing by the recipient
at time of delivery. We must be notified within 24 hours of receipt of goods, however,
we cannot accept responsibility for damage if the goods have been signed for as being “in good condition”. If goods are found to be faulty, incorrect or incomplete, we must be notified by phone within 48 hours of receipt and in writing within 7 days of receipt.
RETURNS, REFUNDS AND CANCELLATION POLICY
We are bound by and operate in accordance with the EU Distance Selling Directive (http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm).
If an item is supplied incorrectly, or not ‘as specified’ in the order invoice/acknowledgement, we will refund the cost of the product and carriage. A refund can only be made by the same method as payment, i.e credit card or cheque. We must be notified in writing within 48 hours of receipt of goods.
We reserve the right not to accept returns for correctly supplied products (i.e. as ordered by the customer).
Refunds for correctly supplied goods are at our discretion and we reserve the right to apply a 20% handling and re-stocking fee. The customer is responsible for any return carriage and insurance costs
and must notify us of their intentions in writing within 7 days of
receipt. Refunds will not apply if products are not returned in original packaging,
or if used or damaged in any way.
Refunds cannot be given for ‘special order items’, e.g. special paint finish, custom-build tonneau covers, special orders from U.S.A., or non-regular stock items.
All products supplied by us come with a manufacturer’s limited warranty, details of which are available at the point of sale. Warranty conditions do vary. Certain product warranties are not applicable outside the U.S.A. Please consult our sales office for details of individual suppliers’ product warranties.
Warranty claims cannot be accepted if the express conditions of operation and use are not adhered to.
We cannot accept any responsibility for damage caused to the product, or for damage or injury caused to a third party by the product, if the manufacturer’s conditions of operation and use are not fully complied with. Any product liability rests solely with the manufacturer of the product.
CONFIDENTIALITY AND CREDIT CARD SECURITY
Your credit card details are not held by us. We do not disclose your details to third parties. We retain details of you (name, address, phone number) and/or your vehicle (VIN, make, model, year etc.) to enable faster future order processing.
We do not pass your details to any third party. Your payment
details are sent directly over a secure connection to our
processing bank (HSBC) and are not stored or held by us or through our
